Apprentice Training Program

Apprenticeship Training Program was created for girls new to horses, who would like to become an Apprentice. Basic horsemanship skills will be taught so the trainee will soon feel comfortable and confident with horses and be ready to take the Jr. Apprentice Test. After passing the test there will be a 30 day trial period before the applicant will officially become a Jr. Apprentice. (Test listed with Apprentice Training Program forms on website)


Skills gained in Apprentice Training Program include:

  1. Going out into the head

  2. Haltering and leading

  3. Understanding horse language basics

  4. Cross tying

  5. Grooming

  6. Tacking and untacking

  7. Bathing

  8. Blanketing

  9. Feeding and care

  10. General horse awareness and safety


Ages: 12+ years old

Weeks: Every week June 20th - August 26th

Days: Monday - Friday

Time: 9:30am - 4:00pm

Cost: $225 per week session Pay Now & Register

We offer our girls programs at these affordable rates to encourage those girls who normally would not be able to have access to horses, or a farm experience. Our program fees help support our rescue endeavors. Thank you.
