Our Newest Program

Phoenix Rising Sanctuary welcomes girls in the Puget Sound area foster care system who love horses. By providing a safe long term place for girls to learn how to communicate with, and be responsible for another living being we assist them in developing the skills necessary to care for themselves, and build positive healthy relationships for their future.


Our Mission

To educate and empower girls through interaction with our rescue horses. To support them in becoming strong, compassionate, confident and curious young women with a positive sense of self, family and community.


Our Rescue

We believe in the teaching and healing power of the horse, human connection. We rescue approximately 20 PMU horse foals from slaughter every year, then gentle and train every horse, so they have a chance to find a loving home, however long that takes.
